CA-C is preserved with copper azole Type C, or CA-C, which was developed more than 20 years ago and is now used globally for a wide range of applications. This proven treatment is highly effective against termites and fungal decay and can be used both above ground, ground contact, and even for freshwater immersion. If you want to get all of the benefits of CA-C, we do not recommend using this type of treated wood for a saltwater immersion application.
Copper azole treatment is greenish-brown and has little to no smell. As the term “pressure treated” suggests, this type of treatment is forced into the wood under pressure, which is the most effective way to ensure that the treatment spreads evenly and throughout the entire piece of wood. By applying a pressure treatment of Copper Azole (CA-C), you can be sure that your wood will retain its mold- and rot-fighting properties for years to come.
